At the Lions Center for the Blind we are dedicated to serving the blind and visually impaired communities of Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano Counties. The Center provides fully certified programs to people of all ages, and offers resource advice and support to families, friends, and professional service-providers.

The Lions Center for the Blind is located on the Northwest corner of 21st and Broadway near the Paramount Theater in downtown Oakland.

Public Transportation

BART:
The Lions Center for the Blind is located within a short walking distance of the 19th Street BART station.

To reach the center from BART, exit at 19th Street and continue North through the terminal, exiting at 20th/Paramount Theater. Cross 20th Street and Continue North on Broadway, crossing 21st. The building is located on the Northwest corner of 21st and Broadway.

The Lions Center for the Blind is proud to be part of the San Francisco Bay Area Transit District Accessibility Task Force.

BUS:
The Uptown Transit Center located on 20th Street, Thomas L Berkley Way, between Broadway and Telegraph is 2 short blocks from the center and is served by AC Transit bus lines 1, 1R, 11, 12, 18, 51A, 58L, 72, 72M, 72R, 800, 802, 805, 851 and NL. To reach the center from the transit center, proceed East to Broadway, Head North on Broadway, crossing 21st street. The building is located on the Northwest corner of 21st and Broadway
