Occupational Skills Training Certified Computer Instructors at the Lions Center for the Blind teach adaptive technology and software to individuals using curriculum tailored specifically to each individual’s needs. Training includes instruction in basic keyboarding/typing skills, key commands, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel program instruction, and Internet navigation using JAWS. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced level courses are all offered at the Center. Occupational Skills Training is often the first step in a DOR vocational track rehabilitation program.
