California Invitational Blind Sailing Regatta

The Lions Center for the Blind is a proud sponsor of the 2012 California Invitational Blind Sailing Regatta!

The Island Yacht Club and the Marin Sailing School Program for the Blind are jointly hosting the 2012 California Invitational Blind Sailing Regatta for sailors who are blind and visually impaired this June 1-3 in the Oakland/Alameda Estuary. Nine teams from the United States and abroad have been invited to participate.

Good luck to Scott Blanks and Erin Lauridsen who will be competing in this event!

Focusing on senior needs, this fair will feature dozens of booths with services and products of interest to seniors and their families. The Lions Center will be hosting a table with information about our programs and services for people who are blind or visually impaired.

The 9th annual Healthy Living Festival will features over 70 health and resource exhibitors, health screenings and financial planning information, walks through the Zoo, and a Medication Drop-off/Disposal Program. The 2012 four Seasons of Health Expo is an event that promotes wellness and active living for Adults 50 and over. The Expo will host a resource fair, healthy living activities and speakers. The Lions Center we host a table about our programs and services for people who are blind or visually impaired.
